Get a tantalizing taste of the power of the conniving Borgia family who ruled the Vatican and Rome during the Renaissance. See the sites where this filthy rich, ruthless family lived, made love and plotted.
The Borgia family led by patriarch and Pope Alexander VI was one of history’s most powerful and infamous crime dynasties. Murder, intrigue, lust and money swirled around this Renaissance-era clan. Rodrigo Borgia, who later became Pope Alexander VI, and his son Cesare personified all of man’s evils.
Our original and captivating Borgia tour takes you into their daily life in Rome. You’ll see where the Borgia clan lived and sinned. Pope Alexander VI and his family ignored most of the ten commandment in their quest to amass and retain power, influence, and enormous wealth.
You’ll be mesmerized by visits to Cardinal Borgia’s palace (outside) and the pope’s mistress’ brothel. Another stop is the place in which Cesare Borgia’s brother-in-law was attacted (and later murdered), a crime possibly ordered by Cesare. Titillating stories will be told about the prostitutes who competed for the Borgias’ attention. You also learn what is fact and fiction. Not every evil act attributed to the Borgias was committed.
The Borgia family’s drama has recently captivated television audiences in two separate television series. Academy Award-winner Neil Jordan created a program that ran for three seasons. Jeremy Irons starred as Pope Alexander VI. “Borgia” featuring John Doman as the family patriarch is a French-German co-production that is still airing.

"We went on a golf cart which was super fun and that way I saw way more than I ever would have wandering around. My favorites were the Campo de Fiori, where the guide had stories about people dragged through the street, and one of the Borgias brothels was there with the old coat of arms. My friend who came along had seen Rome before, but he was impressed with all the little things we saw that he would have never found himself. It was a great tour and I highly recommend it!"
